Honda has not so long ago introduced the Honda CBR250R. Recently KTM launched the KTM 200 Duke, a fast and lightweight streetfighter. Suzuki has shown interested in the 250cc market and has its 250cc Suzuki Inazuma 250 ready to be introduced on the Thai market.
Now Yamaha are also in quarter-liter race.

Recently, a spokes person from Yamaha, said that Yamaha was quite keen on launching a 250cc motorcycle.

Yamaha have been doing research in the 250cc segment and say that soon there will be a Yamaha 250 in the market. Yamaha propose to build this new motorcycle in India or in a Southeast Asia country in order to keep the cost low and competitive. No launch date or model name has as jet been announced.

250cc class new? Well maybe in Thailand but not in the rest of the world!
And yes of course they all want a slice of the new market in Thailand but is this market really so big?
