The 2013 Triumph Tiger Sport's new bodywork gives it an aggressive new look, and the new single-sided swingarm is a nice addition to the machine (as well as helping to route the exhaust system better).

The 2013 Triumph Street Triple R, Daytona 675R, and Speed Triple

Motorcycle NewsThe Triumph Street Triple R gets updated for 2013, with some major changes to the chassis, as well as a reduction in weight. The all-new frame improves the centralization of weight, and the new low-slung exhaust for the 675cc triple-cylinder engine replaces the familiar under-seat design. ABS is now standard, and it can be disables for those who prefer the Do It Yourself method of traction control while braking. The already steep front forks have been tucked in farther, and the KYB suspension is fully adjustable at both ends.

Although it has the same unusual engine size as the Triumph Street Triple R, the Triumph Daytona 675R is a significantly different motorcycle, with different geometry (shorter wheelbase, steeper forks) and the 2013 engine is more oversquare, revs higher and puts out more power. Plus, of course, the ergonomics are completely different.

Automotive Electronics Sector Wide Open for New Investment

Motorcycle NewsSophisticated electronic components are the next great phase of emphasis in Thailand’s robust automotive industry. As consumers demand increasingly smarter vehicles, the R&D and production activity in the country’s automotive electronics sector continues to expand, with unlimited high-tech investment opportunities.

Still, most such components currently used in Thailand are sourced abroad, meaning there is ample space for entrepreneurs to come in and start up production facilities that would reduce the import dependency.

A sector wide open for business growth, Thai automotive electronic components can be concentrated in several categories: systems for controlling power or engine and transmission electronics, safety systems, chassis and suspension electronics, driver assistance such as collision avoidance warning and night vision sensing, passenger comfort, information systems and in-car entertainment. As technologies converge, a modern car now has more than 100 electronic control units, each with the potential to function better and better through constant innovation.

As one example, for higher and higher levels of reliability and functionality, breakthroughs in power performance can involve better fuel injection, shift changes, emission control and lubrication. Safety is also ripe for investment by developers of improved anti-lock braking, traction control, air bags, hill descent control, blind spot detection, automatic wipers and headlamp beams that adjust on their own.
