BMW 90 Years Celebration with Retro 1200 Bike
In 2013 BMW Motorrad turns 90 and to celebrate their ninth decade in the motorcycle business the German automotive giant will launch a new model that will mark 90 years of their existence.The new model, which is already developed, is slated for an early 2013 launch. It is speculated to be based on the R1200, but BMW has not yet announced its specifications or any other details. This new model is expected to feature the same 1200cc, air-cooled boxer twin engine that serves the BMW R1200.
The styling of this new BMW motorcycle will be a mix of modern and retro elements that will highlight the rich heritage of BMW Motorrad along with a zing of contemporary engineering. It will feature upside down (USD) forks, classic wire/spoke wheels, a classic looking meter console.
Launch dates and other details will be out soon and we can only hope that BMW Motorrad bring this beauty to Thailand as well.
