Real Desktop Engine, It Moves, It Growls and Moves

Honda CBR-150 modify

One question I get often is can I get more out my Honda CBR150. First the Honda CBR-150 is a nice looking machine, with sporty road bike racing features.

It is said that Casey Stoner, Australian MotoGP rider started out on a Honda CBR150. What is the Honda CBR150 technical; the CBR150 comes with a 4 stroke, DOHC 4 Valves, water-cooled 149.4cc engine. The cylinder bore is 63.5mm and the stroke is 47.2mm (We can several other smaller cc motorcycle from Honda with the same bore), the compression ration is 11:1 and the ignition is by CDI Direct.

The standard spark plug is an NGK CR8E, but seen also CBR150's with a Denso U24ESR-N.

The transmission of Honda CBR150 comes with a 6 gear transmission, with a gear ratio from 3.038 for the first gear and a ratio of 0.923 for the last (6th) gear. Honda is using a wet, multiple disk clutch type for this motorcycle.

Yamaha X-City 125 - A modern classic

With the Yamaha X-City 125, Yamaha clearly follows the retro style for the 2008 product line, calling this model a modern classic, this new Yamaha 2008 model, which is for now is only available in Europe is a 125cc fuel-injected 4-stroke engine, and V-Belt automatic transmission system.

To Yamaha specifications the engine maximum power output is 10.76 kW @ 8,750 rpm with a torque of 11.70 Nm @ 8,750 rpm, make sure you hold tide if going for quick getaway. For comparison the Harley Davidson 2003 Fat Boy model 1450cc has a maximum power output of 46 kW, so the 125cc Yamaha is surely good on performance

The Yamaha X-City 125 has powerful hydraulic disc brakes both front and rear, and the extra cool looking 16 inch front/15 inch rear rimes/tyres for stable and smooth ride.

The Suzuki Smash Revo 2008

The all new Suzuki Smash Revo, official this model is called the FK110SD-E model. I will agree that Smash Revo sounds commercially much better.

The weight and handling of the Suzuki Smash Revo is what you can expect from a 95 kilo, and a wheelbase of 1.23 meter. Nothing special about the handling of the bike, all we had the feeling that the 110cc engine was a bit more powerful then the average 110cc. Maybe the source for this extra power is the Mikuni VM-18 carburetor, the Mikuni VM-18 carburetor is often used in racing motorcycles. There are also special racing kits available for this Mikuni carburetor.
