The top speed of the Honda CBR300R is in stock form around 160km/h indicated on the speedo (so actually would probably be less).

The engine of the Honda CBR300R is not created / geared for a better top speed compared to the Honda CBR250R. What has changed is that the new Honda CS300RE engine takes less time to get to top speed, the 286cc (37cc bigger than the 249cc Honda CBR250R) engine gives that extra push over the Honda CBR250R (CS250RE) engine.

If somebody would change the final drive gear (transmission to rear wheel, by sprockets) they would probably get a higher top speed.

Multiple videos on YouTube show that cbr 300 easily gets to 170 and then more.

Sure, it's possible that the Honda CBR300R go's faster than 160km/h, people change the exhaust pipe or have less body weight… I'm sure that if a Thai with a weight of 45kg rides the CBR300R it will go faster compared to 100kg…

I suppose if one is arguing in a bar or on a forum maybe 6% is important. In the real world it is torque and cruising speed that matters.

To paraphrase. It is HP that sells bikes but torque that wins races.

Its not about what is important or not. The point is what is the top speed. Since I m sure its more than 160 without mods I mentioned it here but ok it doesnt matter.
