Hi, can someone teach me how to see the Diff of Yamaha YZF R6?
Cause from the photo i found from the Web, i cant see any diff between the 4 years of Model(from Year 2006 to 2010)

In 2005 Yamaha introduced a more fine tuned fuel-injection system which improved performance to 124.3 hp at 13,000rpm. Yamaha also introduced upside-down forks in 2005 and the forks thickness went from 43mm to 41mm.

2006 Yamaha did a complete engine overhaul and the YZF-R6 was now a 599.4cc, 67.0mm bore with 42.5mm stroke, liquid cooled, 4-stroke, forward inclined inline 4 cylinder, DOHC, with 16-titanium valves. With the new engine the compression ration went up to 12.8:1. The engine was now also equipped with YCC-T (Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle), multi wet plate slipper clutch, and ignition changed from digital DC-CDI to TCI. For the final drive, Yamaha changed the chain from 532 O-ring to a 525 O-ring chain.

The Yamaha YZF-R6 was now capable of a maximum power of 131.2 hp at 14,500rpm.

Also the Yamaha YZF-R6 became a bit bigger, total length increased by 15.2mm, while the weight of the bike went down 1 kilogram.

In 2008 Yamaha increased the compression ratio, 13.1:1, and with that the power increased to 133.6 hp at 14,500rpm. Also Yamaha introduced YCC-I (Yamaha Chip Controlled Intake) on the YZF-R6.

2010 Yamaha bows for the worldwide emission regulations and brings the overall performance down to 122.0 hp at 14,500rpm to meet international emission regulations. It is said that the Yamaha YZF-R6 sold in Thailand were already restricted at the beginning of 2009.

The Yamaha YZF-R6 had a few different paint jobs since 2001, but I hope you do not want know that.... It has also no influence on performance....

so for what u mean is that the R6 that i just bought is the 2009 model. but why did the shop told me that it is 2010? haha. cause in the log book. it is said that this bike is make on 2009... hahaha. anyway, thanks for ur info.

It's probably one of the oldest ways to clear “old” stock. Yes, sir this is the latest model... 2010, yes sir, this is the latest model we have...

Anyway be happy that you have a 2009 model of the Yamaha YZF-R6, the 2010 model has 11.6 horsepower less...
