The first race of Ratthapark Wilairot's season was over virtually before it had started tonight, the Thai rider losing several positions after being penalised for a jump start and then crashing when trying to recover positions on his return to the action.
“I don't agree with the jump start. I am disappointed for me and the team because I felt good on the bike this weekend. After that I committed the mistake of pushing harder than I needed to in the position I was in, I went over the limit at the wrong time and that is also really disappointing.”
Fausto Gresini “It is a shame but Feem's weak spot has shown through again. He was too nervous and it has ruined what could have been a good race for him. A jump start and a crash is a bit too much. He needs the help of the team now because we believe in him and we will give him everything he needs to show his true value.”
