Is there any more news on the introduction of the Yamaha Nmax to Thailand?

There seems to be a Facebook fan club already! But nothing at the dealer or on the website.

We not sure if we can say that it's an indication, but normally Yamaha Thailand has the parts catalog and service manual for dealers available long before the motorcycle / scooter is available… For the Yamaha Nmax scooter Yamaha Thailand still not have the parts catalog or service manual available.

Are you also aware that the Yamaha Nmax sold in Europe is not ‘exactly’ the same scooter as the one that they plan to launch in Thailand. First the Yamaha Nmax available in Europe is a 125cc, while Yamaha will likely introduce the 155cc version in Thailand (how far this effects the engine is currently unknown, as we didn’t see a parts catalog yet).

It seems that Yamaha Thailand already has released a price indication for the new Yamaha Nmax 155, which is 78,200 THB.

In Europe it will compete I think mostly with the Honda Forza 125 , which we won't get. Unless Honda brings something like Forza 150 here maybe Yamaha will have a slight performance edge? But economy might not be quite so good so PCX will still be popular.

The only niggle is the 6.6l tank vs Forza's 11.5. So forget a Sunday afternoon small tour or only filling up once per week.

The Yamaha Nmax 155 which will be launched in Thailand has ABS as standard and with the retail price of 78,200 THB it would be cheaper than the Honda PCX 150 (I have seen PCX 150 priced for 80,000 TH.

Lots of people in the industry are certain that Honda will introduce ABS for the PCX 150 as it would be required to sell anything over 125cc in Europe next year (2016).

Yamaha Motor (Thailand) has finally released the parts catalog for the Yamaha Nmax 150 for the Thai market. This means that it cannot take so long before we find the new Yamaha Nmax 150 in Yamaha dealer showrooms.

Some Yamaha dealers seem to have received some Yamaha Nmax 150 this weekend.

I bought my NMAX on the 4th Oct. A great bike, ride is very smooth with great brakes and a soft seat. Have not pushed it hard yet but can tell there is a lot more power than your standard scooter.
