Suzuki Big Bikes for 2016 in Thailand
Second in the line-up is the granddaddy Gixxer that re-defined street-going superbike performance in the '80s returns with new livery that celebrates Suzuki's return to MotoGP racing. MotoGP technology is also used with the 799,000 THB Suzuki GSX-R1000, including forged pistons that use Finite Element Method and fatigue analysis technology, along with optimized camshaft profiles. Other high-tech engine features include Composite Electrochemical Material plating in the cylinders and a Suzuki Exhaust Tuning valve in the 4-2-1 exhaust system. Showa Big Piston Forks take care of the suspension up front, while Brembo brakes slow the entire package down when needed.
New for 2016 is the 599,000 THB Suzuki GSX-S1000 which has certainly grasped our attention. A modernized legendary torquey GSX-R1000 K5 engine is used to power the Suzuki GSX-S1000. Cam profiles have been optimized for street use, and the 4-2-1 Suzuki exhaust focuses on putting out more low-end and midrange power, which is exactly what makes a motorcycle work great in the real world of street riding. The Suzuki GSX-S1000 is equipped with traction control and has three power modes and ABS standard.
Not only is Suzuki going full hooligan with the naked-bike upright 618,000 THB Suzuki GSX-S1000F in 2016, but there is also a twin – the fully faired upright Suzuki GSX-S1000F. Big news for fans of effective street-focused 1000cc inline-four motorcycles, the GSX-S1000F ABS uses the same Suzuki GSX-R1000 K5 engine as used in the GSX-S1000.
In the 650cc segment Suzuki returns with a new red trellis frame 319,000 THB Suzuki Gladius 650 (SFV650). Featuring a engine based on the 90 degree V-twin liquid-cooled 645cc engine that made Suzuki so popular, Suzuki puts it in an upright, naked-bike stance, and the engine has Dual Throttle Valve fuel injection. Twin front discs and 25 degrees of rake speak to the sportiness of the Suzuki Gladius 650, and acceleration will be aiding by new cam profiles. An oval throttle pulley is designed to aid in smooth low rpm/mid-range power delivery.
With the goal of creating a 'comfortable adventure tourer,' Suzuki gave the 350,000 THB Suzuki V-Strom 650 features like a engine with good torque in the low- and mid-range, plus a high-rpm horsepower boost. The bottom five ratios are fairly close for increased performance, leaving 6th as an overdrive. Ergonomically, the fairing has good protection, plus an adjustable windscreen. There are three seats available so the rider can personalize the Suzuki V-Strom 650 ABS's ergonomics.
The 365,000 THB Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT ABS brings wire-wheels, 19 inch at the front and 17 inch at the rear, rugged side cases, a three-way adjustable windscreen, and updated styling to the adventure bike world. With two-sparkplug heads and the Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve, performance from the 645cc V-twin is impressive, especially in the higher end of the rev range.Up front, the Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT gets 43mm forks and twin 310mm discs. ABS improves braking performance on slick surfaces, but cannot be shut off for off-road riding. A fuel tank holding over 20 liters gives the Suzuki V-Strom XT a range comfortably over 322 kilometers.
The for 2015 completely redesigned 698,000 THB Suzuki V-Strom 1000 comes in four colors, Candy Daring Red, Pearl Glacier White, Metallic Matte Titanium Silver and Glass Sparkle Black. The Suzuki V-Strom 1000 ABS was redesigned and received a new engine this year so for 2016 it gets not much new, it has adjustable traction control to go along with Tokico 4-piston monoblock front calipers with ABS. Up front, you also get 43mm inverted KYB forks. For ease of use, the instrument cluster has been redesigned.
The 379,000 THB Suzuki Boulevard C50 comes in two colors, Pearl Glascier White and Glass Sparkle Black.
