I test it at Motoaholic Thaksin rd office and it is really a nice bike.
I then went to Kawasaki Thailand LTD to know if we can add an ABS option later on as the 2014 is sold without ABS and i was told by one of their marketing manager that there is no way to add an ABS option on it later on. Have to wait a new model that would be equipped with ABS natively.
I am very surprised by his answer and I am trying to find a way around to add ABS system to the thai version of Z800 2014 model.
If anyone have a clue.
They speak a lot about this issue on Z800thailand.com but as I not read thai I cannot understand if there is any way around to avoid the limitation.
Z800 are deeply in need of ABS system due to all the risk of driving in Thailand (bad road, raining half of the year, ...).

I was told by Khun Boy from the marketing department that I have to drive slowly and carefully if I buy a Z800 without ABS.
What a nonsense statement. Kawasaki Headquarter should stop take local market for garbage that will easily buy their stock of Non-ABS Z800 and gives us the choice to choose between an ABS or non ABS model. Guess they not care about thai drivers security but only about western world one. Sad.

Not my cup of tea though...

Why not Mat?

I thought it felt heavy and clunky. The turn radius didn't seem great either. I couldn't see myself riding in Bkk with that thing (where I do most of my riding). I also prefer a more upright riding position (am riding a Versys). But thats just my personal opinion of course.

When you're used to riding a Kawasaki Versys the Kawa Z800 can feel a bit bulky.. if you had a sportsbike the step to a Kawasaki Z800 would probably feel more natural...
