Hi St1300 owners. Has anyone ever changed the Clutch Slave Cylinder on the ST1300 without having to remove the engine?

The service manual is a bit fussy, they first say that all service on the clutch and primary shaft can be dome with the engine installed in the frame. But they specify that for removal of the clutch slave cylinder you should remove the engine.
