Has anyone out there any info on the Lifan 250 motard. Is it going to be sold in Thailand?
Have emailed Lifan BKK but they don't reply.
Was a lot of talk about it begining of the year, all quiet since.

The Lifan LF250GY-7 will very likely come to Thailand. Currently, Lifan Thailand has just started to distribute the Lifan LF200GY-5 and will probably wait to see how that model is received on the Thai market.

" Have emailed Lifan BKK but they don't reply. "

No reply, no sale I'd say!
This indicates their 'customer service'. Thumbdown

Why do they want to sell the old 200, when they can sell the 2year old 250?

Which website is that... The old lifanth.com doesn't work anymore and basically is stolen by the website developer to place advertising... Surely he doesn't answer emails... The official and only Thai Lifan website is http://www.lifanthailand.com

Probably it has all to do with starting into a market where Chinese brand names have a disadvantage, the Lifan LF200GY-5 can be sold for 45,000 Baht (including registration and first year insurance). With the 2-year full warranty, Lifan will try to convince people in Thailand that Lifan is a world class name in the motorcycle world.

If Lifan currently would market a product that will challenge a Kawasaki KLX250, or Kawasaki D-Tracker 250, like the Lifan LF250GY-7, for around 80,000 Baht... People will directly compare it to a Honda CBR250R and likely will select the bit higher priced Honda CBR250R (at 100,000 Baht) just because they know the brand and the service.

Lifan understands that they have to start humble in Thailand, but not forget that Lifan motorcycles as for sale in Thailand are available worldwide... Not like the Thai/Japanese manufactures who only market Thai products around ASEAN. Also Lifan Thailand has one, if not the biggest, motorcycle factory in Thailand...
