My Honda CBR150 brake lever is like a banana since I dropped my CBR150. My college tutor says as it's aluminum I can bend it back to shape if I heat it up. Will it be safe? I know the obvious answer is buy a new one but I'm "poor" student and it's more money I can miss.

I've got to be careful here, I don't want to say it's fine then you or someone else goes and has an accident. But I've done it in the past with aluminum levers lots of times and never had a problem.

One trick is to rub dishwashing soap on the brake lever. Then when you heat it the soap will discolor and go brown, that's the time to stop heating and bend it back into shape. If you heat too much it'll melt. I would say don't do anything that carries a big load. The forces on a brake lever aren't that big so it'll probably be fine...
