The North American division of BMW Motorrad on 30 December 2009 released a safety notice concerning the F650 GS and F800 GS machines due to some problem with the engine cooling system. According to the manufacturer, the recall is addressed to 4,498 units.
The recall is only related to American build F650 GS and F800 GS machines.
