After all the positive news about the new 2015 Yamaha YZF-R1M, Yamaha has issued a recall for the YZF-R1M. Apparently the fault is with some of the Ohlins rear shock.
Yamaha has recalled 350 units of its 2015 Yamaha YZF-R1M as part of the fallout from the larger Ohlins recall that was issued a few months back.
The number on the damper road can loosen and potentially lead to the shock coming undone. Motorcycles affected were manufactured between January 19 and March 23 of 2015. Yamaha Thailand believes that nobody in Thailand is effected, but they're still doing a final check.
Owners will be alerted and the big bike dealership network will inspect and repair or replace the rear shock, at no charge if Yamaha Thailand finds anybody effected by this recall in Thailand.
