BMW are recalling a few motorcycles. That's a few as in about a third of a million. It affects every K and R-series model from 2003 to 2011, plus a few older GS and RT models. Over-tightened wheel nuts may damage the mounting flange on the single-sided swingarm, causing cracks.

BMW only know of one case where these cracks have then caused the component to fail, but are replacing the part on all the motorcycles potentially involved as a precaution.
