The Kawasaki Vulcan S is indeed a Thai product, it's actually a member of the ER6 family (ER6N, ER6F,Ninja 650, and Versys 650) of course the engine is tuned for less performance and more torque as you would expect from a cruiser.
We expect that the Kawasaki Vulcan S will be introduced into the Thai market at one of the upcoming motor shows...
At the moment we would not like to speculate about the possible price in Thailand for the Kawasaki Vulcan S. But we expect that only the ABS version will be available in Thailand.

It will be very interesting to see how kawasaki Thailand handles the local pricing, given that we know what it costs in USA.
Someone on another forum has pointed out that the USA price for the Vulcan 650S with ABS is 243,000 baht,
which would include freight. Yet the bike which is made here costs 42,000 baht more. Why?
Thailand has pretty high taxation on motor vehicles, so even the Kawasaki Vulcan S is made in Thailand it will still have to pay some “import” related taxes and/or duties to be legally available. Kawasaki Thailand makes the Kawasaki Vulcan S in facilities which are called bonded warehouse manufacturing, which is in simple terms manufacturing in Thailand but outside the Thai tax system.

Apparently the Vulcan S (with or without ABS) will soon be available overseas.
The US prices have already been announced at $6,999 (non ABS) and $7399 (ABS).
One website claims that this bike is actually made in Thailand.
True?
If this is true then we could expect the Thai prices to be between 227,000 baht and 241,000 baht … or am I being naive?
