The Suzuki VanVan 200 - The Beach Boy is Back and Stronger

The Suzuki VanVan 200 – a small, powered by a single-cylinder 200cc, air-cooled engine, lustrous, faintly ridiculous, massively entertaining and attractive package of fat-wheeled fun and joy.

There is not hint of artifice here, from the fuel tank shape and candy-colored paint, so the fat tires, single headlight and speedo, mini ape-hanger handlebars and wide over-upholstered banana seat, it fair bloody screams Seventies ’chopper bike’. It was desirable and well-found then, and so it is today.

Of course the Suzuki VanVan is not completely new for Thailand, we already had the VanVan 125, but with the Suzuki VanVan 200 and the extra performance the motorcycle finally has become the fun bike it always wanted to be.

The Suzuki VanVan 200 with it’s 6.5 liter fuel tank is not tourer, no racer, or even a scrambler. No, it is part of a long and valued little motorcycle that become life long friends.

The 199cc, 4-stroke, air-cooled with additional oil-cooler, SOHC, engine is equipped with a 5-speed gearbox and fueling is done by electronic fuel injection.

With a seat height of 770mm and weighing 128 kilograms the VanVan 200 can be ridden by anybody. The front tire is a 130/80-18M/C 66P, and the rear tire is a massive 180/80-14M/C 78P which makes riding on beach or any soft surface fun. The front disc brake with two-piston caliper and rear drum brake provide strong stopping power.

Surfers, golfers, beach-goers and beach owners, guys with kids, granddads with kids, kids themselves, teenagers, farmers, rural bush road riders every one of them – will adore the Suzuki VanVan 200. Because it’s fun. It is pure and simply.
