The New Michelin Pilot Power 3 Scooter and Michelin Pilot Road 4 Scooter Tires

Michelin has launched two new tire ranges for 2016 – the Michelin Pilot Power 3 Scooter and Michelin Pilot Road 4 Scooter. The new 15 inch tires are intended for Maxi scooters of 400cc and upwards that were originally fitted with radial tires.

Although specifically designed for scooters, the new tires are derived directly from the Michelin Pilot Road 4 and Pilot Power 3 motorcycle ranges featuring technologies never previously seen in the radial scooter tire market.

Michelin claims the new tires are more durable and enable shorter braking distance compared to its previous generation. The main difference between the ranges is that the Michelin Pilot Road 4 Scooter tires have been designed to achieve great grip on wet surfaces, while the Michelin Pilot Power 3 Scooter tires are intended for scooter users accustomed to a sportier riding style.
Both Michelin scooter tire ranges benefit from Michelin's 2CT dual-compound technology, which combines soft rubber compounds for the shoulders with a more resistant compound for the central part of the tread in order to maximize both durability and grip.

The Michelin Pilot Power 3 Scooter and Michelin Pilot Road 4 Scooter tire ranges will be available from February 2016.Tag: Michelin Tires Scooter Pilot Road 4 Pilot Power 3 Dual-Compound
