The 2013 MV Agusta Brutale Line-Up
Any thought of MV Agusta brings to mind its iconic inline-four. However, the new MV Agusta Brutale 675's three-cylinder engine, with four fuel map to select from, is out to change that perception. The MV Agusta Brutale 675 is still a rolling work of art, this naked bike is an approachable mid-size brawler.Tearing it up with a 113 horsepower at 12,500 rpm that are modulated by an eight-level traction control system, the 167 kilogram MV Agusta Brutale 675 features 43mm Upside Down Marzocchi forks and a linkage-assisted Sachs rear shock. To slow the motorcycle down, Brembo radial calipers are put into action via 320mm double floating discs at the front and 220mm single disc at the rear using Nissin master cylinders.
New for 2013 is the MV Agusta Brutale 800, which will see its Thai debut mid this year.. The MV Agusta Brutale 800 slipping into the gap between the 675 and 1090 Brutales, the new three-cylinder MV Agusta Brutale 800 stakes out a midway point that features less weight than the big brother and more power than its little brother.
Top speed on the MV Agusta Brutale 800 is claimed to be over 245 km/h, making it track-ready for riders who don' t mind a lack of fairing. High end suspension from Marzocchi (front forks) and Sachs (rear shock) are matched with race-spec Brembo brakes, along with a Mikuni throttle body, and ride-by-wire Eldor EM2.0 ECU. Three power modes allows the rider to select the proper power delivery.
The 2013 MV Agusta Brutale 1090 RR, displaying 1078cc, recently the Brutale RR 1090 received new cams, intake tracts, and throttle bodies. The result is a street-rippling 158 horsepower just short of 12,000 rpm, and it includes an eight-level traction control system. Top speed is a stunning 269 km/h on this naked bike. The hand-wleded chromoly chassis has adjustable steering geometry, as well as 50mm Upside Down Marzocchi forks and a Sachs shock. The front brake calipers are the same as found on the MV Agusta F4 RR, and the Brutale RR 1090 gets lightweight forged aluminum wheels.
