The 2013 KTM 390 Duke - True KTM Duke DNA
At the EICMA motor show held recently in Milan, a new motorcycle was unveiled, called the KTM 390 Duke. The new KTM 390 Duke will be placed below the 690 Duke and just above the 200 Duke. The KTM 390 Duke was one of the major attractions at the Milan motor show and we are glad to inform you that this new Duke will make its way to Thailand in 2013.
The KTM 390 Duke has all the right elements that clearly accentuate its Supermoto design and, yes, it carries the quintessential KTM Duke family DNA. Styling features like the beefy WP upside-down front suspension and a tiny bikini fairing, a sleek fuel tank with shrouds that extend beyond the length of the fuel tank and a short rear-end that seems to float in the air simply give the KTM 390 Duke an aggressive and mean looking stance. The steel trellis frame painted in KTM orange, Y-spoke design alloy wheels, trendy and youthful graphics and underbelly exhaust add to the overall appearance of this motorcycle.
The 2013 KTM 390 Duke is powered by a 373.2cc single cylinder engine that develops 45 horsepower and 36 Nm of torque. Which means, performance will surely be a strong point of the 2013 KTM 390 Duke, though we shall have to wait till we have the chance to do a road test.
Apart from this, KTM will also offer the 390 Duke with ABS.
Baja Auto, KTM's partner in Asia, will produce the KTM 390 Duke at one of the company's India facilities. We expect that the new KTM 390 Duke will make more impact on the Thai motorcycle market than the KTM 200 Duke which was not very attractive priced.
