The 2013 BMW K1600GT and K1600GTL
The BMW K1600GT features three engine modes – Dynamic, Road, Rain – plus Dynamic Traction Control as a factory option. The suspension is also electronically adjustable, with Sport, Normal, and Comfort modes.
The BMW K1600GTL is going up against the granddaddy of luxury tourers, the Honda Gold-Wing, the inline-six 2013 BMW K1600GTL has made a big splash in the class. Delivering more relaxed ergonomics and more creature comforts than the basic K1600GT edition, the K1600GTL weighs a bit more, is slightly slower in acceleration and gets about one fewer kilometers out of a liter of fuel.
To make the BMW K1600GTL a more effective long distance tourer, the K1600GTL offers a standard top case, audio system, chrome mufflers, and all the electronic wizardry of the K1600GT with a few more gadgets.
The BMW K1600GT and the K1600GTL are not your average budget motorccles, the K1600GT sells for just over 1.4 million THB and the K1600GTL leaves the showroom for just over 1.5 million THB. The closest rival, being the Honda Gold-Wing GL1800 costs at Honda Big Wing dealerships just over 1.6 million THB so we guess the BMW's are not badly priced...
