The 2012 Arai RX-7 GP Motorcycle Helmet
The helmet is unmistakable Arai, the 2012 RX-7GP is an all-new helmet, in terms of both design and materials, and crammed with more new features than you would expect.
Under the paint, the PB SNC (Structural Net Composite) shell incorporates a structural net reinforcing material embedded between Arai’s exclusive Super Complex Laminate layers and sports a Peripheral Belt born from F1, and is claimed to be 35% stronger, while a larger visor aperture offers improved peripheral vision, and more efficient venting offers excellent ventilation for tropical climates like Thailand.
Perhaps the most funky piece of design though is the five way adjustable 'Air Wing', which apparently reduces drag, turbulence and buffeting resulting in more comfort and additional top-speed.
The completely removable Dry-Cool interior lining is developed for and tested by racing riders. It offers true comfort under all riding conditions, touring and sports riding alike, without tightness thanks to the new outer shell, Air Wing and other devices that all contribute to reduce buffeting and turbulence.
