Shell renews Technical Partnership with Ducati
Shell embarked on its Technical Partnership with Ducati in 1999 in the World Superbike Championship and then entered the MotoGP World Championship as a key technology partner of the Ducati MotoGP team. The past 15 years have seen the Technical Partnership become one of the strongest and most successful within the motorcycle racing world, with successes including six World Superbike Riders’ Titles and nine Manufacturers’ Titles, along with the MotoGP Riders’ World Championship and Constructors’ World Championship Titles in 2007.
“We are delighted to announce that Shell will continue the Technical Partnership with Ducati. The two brands share a successful history both on and off the track and it’s fantastic to be able to continue our relationship both in the development of products for road bikes and in the toughest motorcycle racing championship in the world – MotoGP. The cutting-edge technology developed through this partnership in the harshest environment, the track, allows Shell to better formulate the Shell Advance motorcycle oils and Shell V-Power performance fuel to help bikers keep their bikes at peak condition.” Andrew Hepher, General Manager Marketing Consumer Brands and Product, Shell International Petroleum Company Limited
“All our partners are important to the continued technical development of our products and work with us to pursue success on the track. Over the past 15 years, Shell, with Shell Advance motorcycle oils and Shell V-Power performance fuels, has been instrumental in helping us to achieve ever increasing on-track performance allied to exceptional reliability. We also know that using Shell Advance motorcycle oils as the first-fill in our road bikes ensures they are looked after in the best possible way. We’re all looking forward to the next chapter of our partnership.” Claudio Domenicali, CEO, Ducati Motor Holding
