Mikuni Introduces a New Carburetor for 2013 - The TMX-Series
The Mikuni TMX Series Performance Carburetor features a flat slide throttle design operating in a smooth bore venturi to provide a wider overall powerband, increased peak power and quicker throttle response.
The fuel bowl float system on the new Mikuni TMX carburetor features independently moving twin floats, working with a main jet enclosed in a baffle chamber, allowing the Mikuni TMX carburetor to perform smoothly under the toughest conditions without hesitation.
The Mikuni TMX looks very similar to the Mikuni TM Series, which which is also a performance carburetor first introduced back in the early '70s. The TM Series carburetors provided a significant performance increase over the previous generation Mikuni VM Series. With the TMX carburetor, Mikuni sets a new standard for carburetor performance.
The Mikuni TMX Series Performance carburetors are officially designed for off-road motorcycles, as they are the last large group of motorcycles to be still equipped with carburetors.
The Mikuni TMX performance carburetors are available in 35mm bore size intended for 125cc motorcycle engines, and in 38mm bore size for use on 250cc and larger motorcycle engines. Mikuni Thailand has not released any price information regarding the new TMX carburetor.
