KTM boss Shutdown Italian Husqvarna Factory
After the takeover of Husqvarna by KTM boxx Stefan Pierer at the start of the year comes the news that the Varese factory is to shut down by August, with the loss of over 200 jobs – having only opened in 2009 after massive BMW investment.With 11,000 unsold motorcycles still in the warehouse, and enough parts to build another 3,500 motorcycles, you could say that it would be better to first sell this motorcycles.
Workers at the Varese factory also have taken to the street to protest to closing of the factory. KTM and Mr. Stefan Pierer did not replied to out email regarding the closing of the factory. KTM and Stefan Pierer are planning to produce the Husqvarna motorcycles in India with longtime partner Baja Auto.
