I love my Ducati 1098 Motorcycle

I've been riding big bikes since I was 16. I rode for 5 years before I passed for my motorcycle license. I moved to Bangkok to study at a University, and bought my first motorcycle, a simple Honda Wave 100, and not long after that I was able to take-over a crashed 400cc Honda CB1 it needed a lot of work to get it on the road again, but after about a year I could finally call myself a true motorcyclist in the busy Thai capital and since then I've had everything from Yamaha Dragstar to illegal unregistered 1000cc supersport bikes.

I did all sort of jobs, and after being a bit successful with my fright chicken business, that time 4 sales locations in Bangkok, I had enough money to switch from Japanese fours to Italian twins. It started with a 2003 Aprilia RSV Mille R. After trying to find parts for an Aprilia, I said, 'I need a Ducati.'

And now 4 years ago I bought my first Ducati, a Sport Classic. And two years later I test-rode a Ducati 1098 and that;s when everything went up for sale! The Ducati 1098 is quite simple the best-looking, best-handling... maybe not the most powerful motorcycle I've ever ridden, but the best power I've ever ridden with. I love the torque of the V-Twin and it's got crazy top end!

You know what the Ducati 1098 gives me? T gives me this incredible confidence. The first time I dragged my knee was on a Ducati 1098. It was just a matter of being more confident, learning over farther, my body position was right and it just happened naturally as opposed to trying to do it.
I've read that a motorcycle is an extension of its rider, and that's the way I feel with the Ducati 1098. I've ridden motorcycles that were faster and lighter, but the Ducati 1098 to me has the greatest feel. The other thing is the way it looks – it's like having a two-wheeled Ferrari. I love buying carbon fiber.

Ducati's have something about them. The greatest sound in motorcycling is a Ducati with Termignoni pipes in a canyon. The best description I've ever heard – I don't know who to attribute this to – the sound of a dry clutch is like a chronic masturbator with marbles in his pocket! You don't see a million of them, either. The last thing I'd want to ride is another Kawasaki.

I root for Ducati in the MotoGP and World Superbike because I have one.
