Husqvarna Bought by KTM Boss
Following this deal, KTM boss Stefan Pierer holds the majority percentage stake in Husqvarna, though he has not made an announcement about the merger of KTM and Husqvarna. He reveled that in two years new Husqvarna models would roll out of Indian Bajaj motorcycle manufacturing facilities.
It's not clear if Bajaj Auto is also involved with the take-over of Husqvarna, Bajaj Auto is already a major share holder in KTM, and considering the amount Husqvarna was worth we should not eliminate the possibility.
This means that KTM and Husqvarna will finally enter a merger, although the brands will still roll out models under their own names.
We expect to witness a lot of action from this acquisition in the next couple of years, especially on the Asian market. For more information regarding Husqvarna, BMW, and Pierer Industries you may want to read Husqvarna Sold to Pierer Industries - Part Two
