Honda India introduces the new 150cc Hunk
India's largest motorcycle manufacturer Hero Honda on Wednesday launched its newest 150cc bike the 'Hunk'. The introduction was not unexpected, rumorers about the Hero-Honda 150cc Hunk could be found on the Internet for weeks.Hero-Honda has launched two model variants of the Hero-Honda Hunk motorbike one with kick-starter and one with electronic starter. While the kick-starter model would be available, Hero-Honda expects that most motorcycles sold would be with electronic starter, as the Hero-Honda Hunk with electronic starter is not that much more expensive.
The Hero Honda Hunk is a cruiser motorcycle that will take on the current "king" of the cruiser market in India, the Bajaj Avenger which is currently the only serious cruiser bike in India.
The Hero-Honda Hunk is powered by a 4-Stroke, Air Cooled, OHC Single Cylinder 149.1cc engine, producing 14bhp at 8000rpm. Featuring a constant mesh transmission, with 5 gears and multi-plate wet clutch.
The Hero-Honda currently sells four models in the 150cc plus segment the following models the Hunk, Achiever, CBZ Extrem and Karizma.
