The HJC RPHA10 - Race Spec Motorcycle Helmet
On our own digital scale, the size-medium version weighs a super-light 1,342 grams. We're not sure why it's called the RPHA10, which we read as 'arf a ten', which could be slang for half a ten– why didn't HJC call it 'Five'?
Anyway, it has a 'Premium Integrated Matrix' shell, which is basically sandwich of carbon-fiber, fiberglass, organic fibers, aramid twill and polyethylene layers. It has a quick-release visor mechanism that is probably one of the best visor mechanisms you find on commercial available motorcycle helmets.
The ventilation of the HJC RPHA10 is variable adjustable by a very helpful and glove-friendly system on every individual ventilation intake.
The chinstrap is D-ring type and the lining is made from advanced silver anti-bacterial fabric, of course, removable and washable. The inside of the HJC R-PHA10 is treated with Ginkgo extract, which comes from the Ginkgo biloba tree and is known for moisture-wicking and countermeasure for bad odor.
The color-scheme in the picture is the 'RPHA10 Ben Spies Monster Replica II' design, and there are five color-schemes in total and with the solid color-scheme you can choice from 6 colors (black, white, yellow, matte-black, silver, and anthracite). The HJC RPHA10 is a serious competition for the top helmets from the likes of Arai, Shark and Shoei. The RPHA10 price starts at around 12,000 THB for the solid color-scheme, and ends at about 17,500 THB for the Ben Spies Monster Replica color-scheme (as the picture).
