The retro styling defies its modern construction; it's made from Dainese 'D-Skin' leather with CE-approved armor at the shoulders and elbows. There are also titanium sliders on the outside of the shoulders – so if you crash, at least there'll be crowd-pleasing sparks.
The Dainese Santa Monica motorcycle jacket is vented for warm weather use, with a removable thermal liner – just in case the weather doesn' t quite live up to the tropical expectation. Of course Dainese makes much more motorcycle jackets but the Santa Monica was one of the best value for money.
