Akrapovic Exhausts for the Ducati Monster 1200 and 821
The traditional route for Ducati owners might normally be covered in the name 'Termignoni', but Akrapovic continue to muscle in with their beautifully crafted exhausts for the Ducati motorcycles.
The latest additions are exhaust systems and end-cans to suit the latest liquid-cooled Ducati Monster 1200 and 821, which boast some of the most ostentatious exhausts in motorcycling.
The pipework and sleeves are made from titanium and there's the option to keep or ditch the catalytic converter, and a removable baffle so you can choose whether to wake up the neighbors or leave them in peace. The exhaust for the Ducati Monster 1200 in particular is loud in standard trim, so a baffle-free exhaust could see you moving up the neighborhood watch list.
Fitting the Akrapovic exhaust system to the higher-spec S version of the Ducati Monster 1200 promises a 1.8 horsepower boost and a 4.5 Nm serving of torque from the Ducati V-twin engine. It also drops weight by 3.9 kilograms, needless to say that is a good amount.
Akrapovic promises a smaller torque gain on an Ducati Monster 821, with a 2.99 Nm torque gain, and an extra 2.7 horsepower, and of course the weight saving.
The two-into-one pipework is on full side-mounted display on both Ducati Monsters made from titanium, while the sinle end-cans which replace twin cans on both the Ducati Monster 821 and 1200 machines.
Akrapovic also has exhaust systems available for the Ducati Hypermotard and Hyperstrada with promises of an extra 1.5 horsepower and 2.99 Nm torque and a 2.4 kilograms weight saving.
