The 2016 Honda VFR1200X - Big Adventure Bike
Recently, Honda unveiled the hotly anticipated Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin, launching itself into the modern adventure bike market. But, much to our surprise, Honda wasn't done there. By introducing the 2016 Honda VFR1200X, a 1237cc, V-4 powered machine, it looks as if Honda wants to directly challenge the likes of BMW, KTM, and Triumph for adventure bike supremacy.Honda didn't reveal the price of the 2016 Honda VFR1200X, but it would likely be not that much different of the 2015 VFR1200X which cost 817,000 THB.
Some features of the Honda VFR1200X include a single-sided swingarm that houses the motorcycle's shaft drive system and a 43mm inverted forks on the front. There is an accessory outlet to charge a phone or run a GPS unit, Selectable Torque Control to fine-tune the motorcycle's power delivery for the different riding conditions, and the choise of a manual six-speed transmission or Honda's Automatic Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT).
