The 2015 Benelli TNT300S - Highly Competitive 300cc
The Benelli TNT300S's fuel tank is muscular, attractive-looking and flows smoothly into the riding seat, tail panels and smart grab rails. A stubby exhaust canister sits low under the engine, guared by a smart, dark-colored belly pan. We've yet to test the motorcycle, following which we will be able to bring you a thorough report of quality and fit-finish being offered.
The Benelli TNT300S derives power from a parallel twin, high-revving 300cc engine that's liquid-cooled and runs four valves per cylinder from its set of overhead camshafts. 36.2 horsepower of power is made at 11,500rpm, with maximum torque of 26.5Nm output high up in the powerband at 9,000rpm. It's liquid-cooled powerplant, with a twin, 38mm throttle body fuel-injection system in place. Compression ratio of 12:1, while the cylinders measure 65mm bore and 45.2mm stroke.
The Benelli TNT300S comes with a six-speed gearbox, a chain for final drive and top speed of the motorcycle is expected to be in excess of 160km/h. The racy-sounding engine note, as also snappy throttle response with the Benelli TNT300S tuned more towards sporty performance than for good efficiency.
Benelli uses for the TNT300S a steel trellis frame, fat 41mm upside-down front forks and a horizontally offset rear shock absorber that is adjustable for preload. The rear swingarm is steel tube constructed, and good quality rubber is on the motorcycle's 17-inch rims. The rear tire is a healthy 160/60 section unit. And there's a set of twin, 260mm front discs with a 240mm single disc brake at the rear (ventilated, petal type rotors for both).
The Benelli TNT300S looks like a sporty, smartly styled street naked-bike with potential enough spice to be a successful model. Kawasaki has offered the Ninja 300, and lately the Z300 in the same market space, and we should not rule out the Honda CBR300R and the CB300R which all compete for the same target buyers. And we should expect that Suzuki and Yamaha will introduce a 300cc motorcycle in early 2015.
2015 will be a highly competitive 300cc market for motorcycle manufacturers, especially with specifications and performance so similar...Tag: Benelli TNT300S 300cc Naked-Bike Parallel-Twin Liquid-Cooled Small-Capacity-Bike Fuel-Injection 300cc PErformance
