The 2013 Honda MSX125 - The New Monkey Bike

It's some time ago since we witnessed a mini bike that could set your heart beat faster and pump up your adrenaline. However, recently Honda unveiled a crazy little motorcycle that can do exactly that while making you look cool.

Honda first introduced a mini bike in 1961, called the Honda Z100, which was later followed by the Z50 and, in 1969, Honda launched a series of mini bikes in the ST-Series. These motorcycles were very popular during the '70s and '80s, but the trend started to change and bigger and more powerful motorcycles started becoming more popular.

However, it seems that Honda want to revive the old 'Monkey Bike' genre and that is the apparent reason of the unveiling of the Honda MSX125. According to today's standards, the Honda MSX125 is a true blue 'Monkey Bike' featuring a small, 125cc air-cooled, four-stroke engine that is fuel-injected and is equipped with a four-speed gearbox. However that does not keep you from having good fun as the Honda MSX125 develops about 10 horsepower and 10.2Nm of torque and weighs just 101 kilograms.

The Honda MSX125's design is quite simple and minimalistic and there isn't anything that looks out of proportion. The main elements that stand out in the overall design are the fat tires and the beefy front forks. The 12-inch wheels with wide rubber on them appear quite intimidating. However, the overall design is quite desirable.

The Honda MSX125 is currently available at the Honda dealers nationwide for around 66,000 THB and later on in other parts of the world.
