We're pleased to say that Yamaha got enough support, from independent members (not Honda, Kawasaki) of the Thai motorcycle industry to propose another maximum engine size for small engine motorcycles..... The next level will “probably” be 325cc.

This will open the Thai market for the new Yamaha YZF-R3 which is getting good test reviews around the world....

The Yamaha YZF-R3 will offer Honda CBR500R performance at a new price level, both motorcycles deliver around 42 horsepower. The Yamaha weighs about 166 kilograms and the Honda weighs in at 192 kilograms....
