Hi,
I was wondering if I can ride racing bikes on the streets of Bangkok.
Racing bikes I mean those with the exaust pipe right under the seat, also having racing tires.
i.e. Yamaha R1, CBR600RR or CBR1000RR

such as this one www.mocyc.com/market880164/
This bike has no plate, but if it managed to get it plated, would I be able to ride on the streets of bangkok without having it taken by the police.

What are your advices regarding those racing bikes and legality?

I plan to buy one before end of year. so I'm researching now on the second hand market and looking for some deals.
and yes, I have a thai driving license and experience with 300cc bikes. this will be my first Racing learning bike Big Grin

as last resort, I would be getting a new CB500R.

Thanks a lot, appreciate any advices!

You can ride a legally imported and registered race replica on the street but privately registering an unregistered bike is extremely difficult nowadays. I have owned a Kawasaki ZX6R in Bangkok and my own experience was that this style of bike is excruciating to ride in heavy traffic.
