According to a person who is well informed about the policy Kawasaki Thailand is following, the introduction of the Kawasaki Z800 would at the moment be market technical unadvised. Kawasaki still has stock of the Z1000, which they currently sell at 660,000 THB, and would be hard to justify if they sold the Kawasaki Z800 much cheaper in Thailand.
When the stock and current outstanding orders for the Kawasaki Z1000 are all sold we can expect that Kawasaki Thailand will revaluate the situation. So lets keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.

I was told by a Kawasaki sales at the Central Moto Festival that the Z800 should be the next Kawa "buzz" at the coming BKK Motor Show (Impact) end of March, after they made the surprise when they unveil/release the Z250 at Central World.
Perhaps a good surprise in less than 2 months ?!...

They could have sold all the Kawasaki Z1000’s and are ready to introduce the Kawasaki Z800 on the Thai market. Kawasaki traditional like to use motor shows to introduce new motorcycles, so who knows… we have to wait for the 34th Bangkok International Motorshow 2013.
The Kawasaki Z800 is finally launched in Thailand and will be sold for 375,000 THB. They will soon appear in showrooms around the country.
We have received the English owner's manual for the Kawasaki Z800 a few days ago and can be downloaded here: - 2013 Kawasaki Z800 Owner's Manual English.
The Kawasaki Z800 is way too heavy for me, even the Z1000 is lighter than the Z800.

You can loose a lot of the excessive weight by replacing the stock Kawasaki exhaust system for a much lighter aftermarket exhaust system... Statistical, the exhaust system is often the first performance modification owners do, and it seems that most riders will replace the exhaust system anyway...

The problem with test rides is that Kawasaki is selling the Z800 almost as quick as they can build them. What basically means if you want a test ride and somebody wants to buy without test ride you not get the test ride....
Test motorcycles cost a fortune for a motorcycle distributor, they have to sell a huge amount of motorcycles to justify the investment of a tester bike.

Seems to me that many Thai dealers of all makes want their cake and eat it too!
The availability of a test ride is like advertising, most businesses in Thailand don't advertise if they already sell at maximum capacity. The same works for test rides, so we should not expect test rides before the market for Kawasaki Z800 starts to slowdown...

Hi,
I understand the new Kawasaki Z800 is assembled in Thailand, and mainly exported to the European market.
However what are the chances to see this model sold in Thailand by local Kawa dealers in 2013?
Especially when I see Malaysia is selling it already...
Any info on the possible release date and price from a reliable source, please share.
