I'd like a satellite navigation system I can use on the motorcycle but that'll work in the car as well. I've seen a few about but I'm not sure which is best. What would you buys recommend?

Probably the most popular one. Garmin's Zumo works really well on a motorcycle and in a car too. The Garmin Zumo is likely not the cheapest you can buy.

The Garmin Zumo is superb product, it gives spoken instructions as well as on screen ones, it has a replaceable battery, an integrated MP3 player, works with most communication systems and you can connect it to a home computer to download or upload routes.
