The Tiger G-Max 150 is a direct decent of the PGO G-Max 150. According to well informed sources has the relation between Tiger Motor Thailand and PGO Taiwan ended mid-2008. PGO introduced around mid-2008 an PGO G-Max 150 EFI (fuel-injection) and early 2009 removed the whole 150cc model from the line-up.
Today the closest living family member the G-Max 150 has is the PGO G-Max 220 EFI (220cc fuel-injection).
According to PGO, the G-Max 150 with carburetor fueling is last produced until mid-2008.
To our knowledge, the Honda GY6 engine is somewhat related to the 150cc Tiger/PGO engine. But we cannot tell exactly what the differences are.

Cheers,
A colleague in Spain suggested it is a 150 version of GY6
"For your scooter, as it is using a GY6 150cc engine you can use.."

We uploaded the Technical/Service Manual for the Tiger G-Max 150, I'm sure that your colleague in Spain can figure out if it's a GY6 related engine... Download the Tiger G-Max 150 Service Manual here
Does anyone know if the G-Max has a derivative of the GY6 motor?
