For riding Southeast Asia the Kawasaki Versys (650) is for the region also the smarter choice



That judgement is very debatable!
Give me a KLR over a Versys any time.

Not too many responses to the poll re KLR650 but 80% would buy one if the price is right.
I wonder what 'right' actually is?

That is a good question, what would be the right price for a Kawasaki KLR650 ... should be less than a Kawasaki Versys but how much less?

Interesting speculation.

Why do you say it would be less than the Versys when elsewhere we read;

The current production of the KLR650 is done fully bonded warehouse, what basically means that if Kawasaki wants to sell products from the current production line they have to import the motorcycles (pay the high import duty and taxes).



The 'high import duty and taxes' may make it more expensive than the Versys.

But we are ahead of ourselves.

Let's see if Kawasaki are listening and agree to make the KLR available here.
