The Updated Buell Ullysses, Ready for 2009
As any seasoned Buell Ulysses owner will tell you, tight maneuvers like U-turns on this bike are no easy task, due to the narrow steering sweep from lock-to-lock. Thankfully, Buell heard the complains and redesigned the triple clamps to offer 74 degrees of steering angle compared to 54 on earlier models (rake and trail figures remain the same).
Another useless feature are the now-standard heated grips on the latest models, possible in colder countries the think different about the usefulness of heated grips. Buell also has a retrofit kit in the works for earlier bikes.
In the engine department there's a new crank position sensor and higher-output oil pump, eight-row oil cooler and a new engine control module. These changes help give the Buell Ulysses a redline increase to 7,100rpm.
