The Lego Technic BMW R1200GS Adventure Set
It can be siad that today’s Lego sets feature too many unique parts capable of building only specific models. Surprisingly, the same has also become applicable for the more mechanically-inclined Lego Technic sets.
Gone is the era where you had only generic parts and you could build whatever your imagination let you. But we really don’t mind when the only model you can build is a faithful replica of a BMW R1200GS Adventure motorcycle.
This Lego Technic set of the BMW R1200GS is 18cm high, 33cm long and 10cm wide, and features working handlebars as well as an adjustable windshield. You have to give credit to the team and Lego and BMW when you see the accurate and working reproduction of the Bavarian bike maker’s iconic telelever front suspension, along with its shaft drive and twin-cylinder boxer engine where the pistons move as you push the model ahead – all in distinct Lego Technic fashion.
Even the black spoke wheels with studded tires resemble those of the model’s real counterpart, and it gets three hard panniers at the back. This mini BMW R1200GS will hit stores in January, 2017, to building instructions along with a specially-designed Lego Technic piece.
