Suzuki 2008 Hayabusa, Secrets Revealed

Suzuki last year surprised a few folks at the Philip Island GSX-R1000 launch by rolling out two B-kings for a few laps. In a surprising fit of secrecy considering the bike has already been unveiled, journalist were driven around in a bus while the B-kings roared past. Why?

Because the B-king's engine was the secret, not the bike. The plot thickens.. As we now know the B-king uses a new 1350cc inline-four engine that will be used in the new 2008 Hayabusa which was launched earlier this year. Suzuki was keen not to reveal any details of the B-king because rivals will find out information about the new 2008 Hayabusa, which at the time was undergoing final shakedown testing in Japan. Now that all secrets of the new 2008 Hayabusa 1350cc are reveled, we know that the 2008 Hayabusa has sharper styling and has performance to beat Kawasaki's ZZR1400. The new 1340cc, DOHC liquid-cooled engine with 16-valves, Twin Swirl Combustion Chambers provides 11% higher performance and smoother operation then the previous Hayabusa model. The new Hayabusa's engine is thoroughly updated for more power and an improved power-to-weight ratio, which you'll experience as an even greater rush of acceleration.

To match the power, the Hayabusa's chassis has been redesigned to be sportier than the previous Busa with a new frame, geometry and radial brakes. For suspension , the 2008 Hayabusa depends on a fully adjustable inverted front fork featuring DLC coated inner tubes for minimal friction resistance and outstanding suspension performance over a variety of riding conditions and for the rear and all new bridged aluminum alloy swingarm features a new cross-sectional shape for increased rigidity and to cope with improved rear tire grip and increased engine output.
