MV Agusta - Three New Motorcycles

MV Agusta owner Giovanni Castiglioni has told the press that the Italian firm will launch three new motorcycles at the EICMA Milan motorcycle show this November and that one of them will be an all-new 800cc sport-tourer.

All of them will be three-cylinder motorcycles, one based on an existing model while the other two (including the announced 800cc sport-tourer) will be totally new models.

'Those three new MV Agusta models are in addition to the MV Rivale 800, which will be making its public debut at EICMA after entering production right on schedule n October.' said Mr. Castiglioni.

The most important of these new motorcycle, and our main target for 2014, is to make the best sports tourer in the market with our 800cc engine, though of course this will be very different in character from the version in the MV F3 800 and even the MV Brutale, because it will be more smooth in power delivery, and less racy in character.
But I don't want to make just another such motorcycle like the many others in the market right now – it's getting pretty crowded there, so we must make something which stands out. We're going for a midsize motorcycle which will be 20 to 30 kilograms lighter than, say a Ducati Multistrada, with lots of torque and almost as much horsepower. It'll have the torque nature of a 1200 twin, but will be smaller and easier to ride, and also more economical both in terms of fuel consumption and purchase price.

And being an MV Agusta, it will of course be great to look at – but also different...Tag: MV-Agusta Giovanni Castiglioni 800cc Three-Cylinder Rivale F3 EICMA
