The Ducati Streetfighter S - Amazing Italian Bike
That was until the rain clouds moved away and the sky turned to be more friendly, we moved to a location with no cars and many twisty corners where the Ducati Streefighter S reveled its true nature. This is the ultimate tight traffic bike, when you are used to the power – you can move it around tight corners like a small motorcycle – you could easily forget that you are riding a motorcycle powered by a 1099cc L-Twin, 4 valve per cylinder Desmodromic, liquid cooled engine.
The Brembo Monobloc callipers 4-piston, brakes on the Ducati Streetfighter S are brilliant, fantastic road holding and the weight of the Ducati Streetfighter S is identical to the Honda CBR250R ABS (167kg). The Ducati provides awesome power from 3,000rpm what means in numbers 155 horsepower and 115Nm torque from the L-Twin engine. The Streetfighter comes with a dry multiplate with hydraulic control clutch, the Ducti Hypermotard has also one of these to reduce weight. The highly rated front Öhlins 43mm fully adjustable upside-down forks with TiN suspension give you the feedback unlike any other motorcycle in the same class.
When you take the time and look at the Ducati Streetfighter S, you'll quickly think 'what a drop dead sexy motorcycle', so much better looking than most of its competitors. The only problem we can think off with the Ducati Streetfighter S is that it's fast, while not a problem on an empty road, it was a pain everywhere else. Slow riding around town is acceptable, with its smooth clutch action and extremely well behaved fueling. The Ducati Streetfighter S dash is also awesome, it offers full multi-function display with control over the DDA (Ducati Data Acquisition), DTC (Ducati Traction Control), and ABS which are fitted as standard equipment.
