Harley-Davidson Motor Company has recalled its new entry-level motorcycle, the Harley-Davidson Street 750, this to replace a faulty fuel-pump on several motorcycles. These fuel-pumps use a poor seal at the fuel inlet, which is prone to failure, causing fuel supply interruptions, which can lead to hesitation in power delivery.

This is sometimes followed by an abrupt power restoration, which can cause loss of control and is therefore dangerous. This is most likely to occur when fuel level dips below three liters, even before the low fuel indicator light comes on.

Harley-Davidson will rectify the problem free of charge for everyone with motorcycles from the affected batch. Harley-Davidson has advised owners to fuel-up their tanks, and not ride further than 160 kilometers without refueling.

Is the H-D Street 750 even available in Thailand, or is this just useless information?

Yes, the Harley-Davidson Street 750 is already available in Thailand – if I not mistake for several months – and last month Harley-Davidson Thailand even started a good promotion for the Harley-Davidson Street 750.

Harley-Davidson Thailand didn’t wanted to share if any of the H-D Street 750’s on the road in Thailand where from the affected batch that have possible problems with the fuel-pump.
