Some-one in the bike industry told me today that the prices of Triumph bikes in Thailand has/will become significantly lower.
True?

It's hard to predict what a manufacturer will do, but I know of nothing what would make the Triumph motorcycles in Thailand cheaper. The import duty will be the same for many years to come, as Thailand is not even started negotiations about a free-trade-agreement, and the free-trade-agreement between Thailand and India excludes motor vehicles.

With that said, Triumph still produce some models in Thailand... even for this models they depend heavily on imported parts. But, this is Thailand and Triumph maybe shift to Thailand as a more important production facility. They abandoned the production of a 250cc class motorcycle as they saw not profit... so how knows what the next step is to sell more units....
