KTM recently announced a re-call of their latest street machine, the KTM 390 Duke. This re-call has been necessitated by a misalignment of the locking plate on the primary or front sprocket.

KTM have found out that in the long run the locking plate may misalign, which, in turn, may cause some damage, though no incidents have been reported as yet.

All the KTM 390 Duke's manufactured before March 2014 are being re-called for inspection, and, if need be, the faulty part will be changed by the dealership free of any cost.

Is the Duke 390 here in Thailand yet? Might be just the ticket for BKK errands.

We actually not sure if the KTM 390 Duke is already been sold in Thailand. We got the email from KTM on our regular Thai email account. KTM normally only sends emails if it's related to the Thai or Southeast-Asian market.

KTM Thailand confirmed that the KTM 390 Duke is available in Thailand (for 339,000 THB) and they're currently working with KTM HQ to figure out if any motorcycles on the road need to be fixed.
