Today my girlfriend called Real Motorsports, one of the Bangkok Kawasaki dealers, and they told her that Kawasaki will introduce the 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 250R at the end of this year, or maybe at the 2013 Bangkok Motor Show on the Thai market.

Sorry the 2013 Bangkok Motor Show can also be the Bangkok Motorbike Festival... the person on the phone was not really clear about whch motor show
Currently available in Indonesia and an introduction at the end of the year in Thailand, that will feed the rumors that the new 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 250R is manufactured in Indonesia.
We tried to get any more specific date, when Kawasaki Thailand will introduce the 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 250R on the Thai market.
We let three different persons call to the same Kawasaki Rama 9 HQ telephone number and got 3 different answers, but, the answers give an indication that we not need to expect the 2013 Ninja 250R for the end of this year. One answer was December, one was January, and the last answer was March/ April (2013 Bangkok International Motor Show likely).
Yes sadly no Ninja 300 as in other area this coming year
I may have up graded my 2 year old unit for a 300 but not the 250 style and plastic upgrade

On paper the Kawasaki Ninja 300R will cost much more because it's more than 250cc, so no TAX benefits

What i hope that Kawasaki Thailand can produce this so called Ninja 650cc/ 600cc. I know that it will look like ZX6, but since no ZX6 available in Thailand then it's worth to do. Just my 2 cents, from customer who like value for money sport bike
Will Kawasaki show the new 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 250R at the 5th Bangkok Motorbike Festival in December?
Probably not Bin, as the Show is apparently between January 30th and February 3rd 2013.
Please advise me if the new Ninja 300 will be for sale in the Thai market?

It's always difficult to predict what a motorcycle manufacturer is going to do, what we know is that Kawasaki Thailand will introduce new models at the end of the year. Probably at the 5th Bangkok Motorbike Festival in Central World. What will they introduce is currently not known... (Even most people at Kawasaki Thailand 'currently' have no idea).
Boy if for some strange reason the Ninja 300 which is built in Thailand is not sold in Thailand for 2013......
I think a lot of folks will not buy a 2013 Ninja250 knowing Kawasaki has moved on to a 300 everywhere else
in the world & again built in Thailand.

The Kawasaki Ninja 300R is not a Thai product, currently it seems that Kawasaki has opened another production line for the EX250 in Indonesia were they also produce the EX300 (Ninja 300R).
The new 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 250R is already available in Indonesia where it went on sale about a month ago. The 2013 Ninja 250R was also introduced to the press in Indonesia on 29 September.
Kawasaki moved the production of the Ninja 300R to Indonesia because in Indonesia the government offers TAX benefits for any manufacturer without restrictions on what size the engine of the motorcycle is. In Thailand manufacturers pay higher tax and have no benefits if they produce a motorcycle with an engine larger than 250cc and smaller than 500cc. (Which means a 300cc motorcycle produced in Thailand will cost much more...)

Second reason is that the Free-trade-agreement between Thailand and India is limited to the export of 250cc motorcycles, while the FTA between India and Indonesia has no limitations like that.

Thank you for the clarification
Many reviewers & forums on the web have reported it as coming out of Thailand.
I guess that makes it a little easier to swallow not getting them in Thailand but...not by much
I do wish they had decided to at least offer it though.
Thanks
The new 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 250R went on sale in Indonesia, but, still not much information regarding the 2013 Ninja 250R model for Thailand. In Indonesia the available colors are Lime Green, Red, White and Black.
Anybody hear anything about Kawasaki Thailand and the 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 250R?
